Jeff Berry

Jeff Berry has been with Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) and Positively Aware magazine since 1992. During that time he has been closely involved with the production, graphic design, editing, advertising and distribution of Positively Aware, a well-respected national HIV/AIDS treatment publication. He also oversees the agency’s website, tpan.com. He stepped up as interim editor of Positively Aware and Positively Aware en Español in September 2004, and has served as Editor and Director of Publications since April 2005.

Berry has written for a number of publications and websites, including Positively Aware and TheBody.com. He is an active member of the Fair Pricing Coalition and the AIDS Treatment Activist’s Coalition (ATAC), and is currently vice co-chair of ATAC’s Drug Development Committee (DDC). He also has regularly appeared on Sirius Radio’s “OutQ in the Morning with Larry Flick.” He was the first ever recipient of the TPAN Award of Excellence in 2003, and was awarded the Chicago Area HIV/AIDS Caucus (EASE) Long Term Survivor Award in 2006. Berry was named Gay Chicago’s DJ of the Year in 1990. He currently resides in Rogers Park with his partner, Stephen, and his two cats Zach and Missy.
